The goals of the Austin College’s PA Program are to*:

Goal 1: Admit qualified applicants who will successfully meet criteria for progression and completion of the program 
Status: Met

    • Benchmarks: 
      • Mean entering class overall GPA of 3.4 or higher 
      • Mean entering class overall science GPA of 3.4 or higher 
      • Mean entering class patient care experience hours of 500 or higher 
      • 10% or less student attrition per cohort at time of graduation
    • Outcomes:

      • Outcome: 68.75% of program courses incorporate components of universal design  

 

Goal 3: Deliver a curriculum that graduates practice-ready PAs

    • Data to be used to measure outcomes: PANCE first-time pass rate, summative evaluation performances, student exit survey 
      • Benchmarks:  
      • First time PANCE pass rate at or above national average; 90% or higher first-time pass rate for summative end-of-curriculum evaluations 
      • At least 90% of students perceive a readiness to enter clinical practice at the time of graduation

Goal 4: Foster a culture that values professional and community engagement

        • 75% of students engaged in a PA professional organization during their time in the program
